Ralf König, Germany‘s most successful cartoonist, became famous with his comic book THE MOST DESIRED MAN that was made into a film in 1994, starring Til Schweiger. Wittily playing with queer clichés, he also reaches a wide heterosexual audience. In KING OF COMIC Rosa von Praunheim portrays an unpretentious and modest man that with his brilliant observation skills has been leaving his mark on generations.

Rosa von Praunheim

Rosa von Praunheim was born in 1942 as Holger Mischwitzky in Riga, Latvia. He has made more than 50 films, many of which touch taboos and society’s raw points. In Germany Rosa put in great effort to generate awareness of AIDS. Amongst his most famous titles are The Bed Sausage (1971), It’s Not The Homosexual Who Is Perverse, But The Situation In Which He Lives (1971) and The Einstein Of Sex (1999), along with his latest Rent Boys (2011) and King of Comics – Ralph König (2012).
