Mira's first feature, LÍŠTIČKY/FOXES premiered in the International Critic’s Week competition during the 2009 Venice Film Festival and she took it to top world festivals, such as IFF Pusan, IFF Warsaw, IFF Stockholm, IFF Rotterdam, IFF Seattle, and many others. Mira received several awards for FOXES in Slovakia, for example the Best Young Filmmaker in 2008–2009 awarded by the Slovak Film and TV Academy, the 2010 Slovak Film Critics’ Award, and the prize for the Most Talented Filmmaker under 35 awarded by Tatra banka in 2010.
