In Rio's hidden corners, a young teacher's love affair with an escort triggers a dangerous obsession
Gabriel, a young literature teacher, has just moved to Rio. He discovers The Glória, a neighborhood bar and cruising spot, where he soon becomes friends with the magnetic owner, Monica. When he meets Adriano, a male escort, the chemistry between them is explosive, sparking a passionate and tumultuous love affair. One day Adriano suddenly disappears, and Gabriel begins a journey of investigation until he becomes an escort himself. Realizing his obsession with Adriano is leading him on a destructive path, Gabriel must make a choice. With Monica and his new friends, he finds a family and new reasons to live.

Felipe Sholl
Felipe Sholl's first feature as a director, THE OTHER END (FALA COMIGO), won Best Film and Best Actress at the Rio de Janeiro IFF. His first short TÁ won the Best Short Teddy Award at the Berlinale. As a screenwriter, Felipe is credited in 11 finished titles and 2 in production, including IL TRADITORE (Cannes 2019); MEMORY HOUSE (Cannes 2020) and FOUND MEMORIES (Venice, San Sebastián 2011). GLORIA is his second feature as a director.
